Mother's Day for my mom..

So since my dad is gone. We wanted to make mother's day special by brightening up mom's day. I had fun picking out flowers so mom had something to do.She likes to make flower arrangements. (atleast she used to)

Josh's First ride of the year...

When you turn 21 under a lockdown.

So Josh turned 21 during a major pandemic so I had to make shift a bar for him. It's what you do when no party stores or bars are open for weeks. Oh well it will be a memory for sure...

Refrigerator full of all sorts of goodies for his 21st The saddest thing was no friends could come over her to join us...

So on the computer there were all kinds of fun ideas for birthdays during quarantine. I could atleast get people driving by to honk for Josh's birthday...

You are now officially an adult. When this is all over we are taking you out for a drink. The weird thing is that you couldn't even get your drivers license during all this. Proud of the man you are becoming , the convictions you are getting and your plan for the future. We love you sooooooooo much...Happy 21st Birthday.

Covid and Quarantine!!!!

So being bored and in lockdown you become very creative to pass time. Nick made this painting and he says he has no creativity or artistic ability at all. I think someone is wrong.

Mommy super SICK... Mo

Mommy (me) was soooooooo sick in February. Sicker than I think I have ever been as far as respiratory stuff goes. I had a fever for days, Body aches, stuffed nose and couldn't breath. I had to go on prednisone and a nebulizer several times a day.So there is a pandemic we are in right now called Covid 19 and the whole world were on lockdown. Several of thousands of people have already died. No idea what we will face but I think I already had it in February. Will be curious to see if I test positive one day...Then a black man was killed by a cop and now there is riots all over Minneapolis, St. Paul and now the whole world. Black lives matter and hating Trump. I hope he gets re elected quite honestly.

Up until the quarantine of Covid 19 Chris and I decided that we have been home raising our kids and up til now didn't really take much time for just us and since they are all almost adults (Nick 17) we decided to take every Saturday and explore surrounding little towns or beautiful scenery. Get a cup of coffee or split a meal. Nothing expensive but just the two of us. 

First Trip was to Osceolo WI and found the most quaint coffee shop with a boatload of history. 

This next trip was to Prescott, WI where we saw a bunch of idiots ice fishing on one side of the lake and the other side was completely thawed.I get being a die hard but reallllly.......

This trip was to Northfield MN where we ate lunch at a old hotel and got to see the bank where the outlaws Jesse and James robbed a bank. Bullet hole is still there. These little towns are tucked away with neat history.

Halloween,Thanksgiving and Christmas 2019 without Papa.....

NO ONE HAD ANY MOTIVATION THIS YEAR TO CELEBRATE ANYTHING. Mom as in and out living with us. I mustered up the energy to make this cute adorable Halloween peppers for me, Chris and mom.

This is what we did for Thanksgiving and through all the holidays. Puzzles and just hang while we mourned the death of my dad.

Somebody got money from Grammie and Papa.. someone looks pretty happy about that...

Waiting on Zack I presume to wake up to open presents. that kid can sleep all day and be up allllll night playing video games...

And he is up...YAY!!!! time to ravage though the presents in no time. Why it takes hours to wrap and 15 minutes to open..

Josh and David Moy (who was living with us at the time) trying to figure out some puzzles I got them. they were content for hours.

Every year my elf comes out to bless us with his presence with his place on the mantel.. So warming and cheery... Merry Christmas 2019. It was a hard time for us just losing my dad. my mom's husband of 57 years and a WONDERFUL grandfather. We miss him sooo much. He really did bring kindness, a realness to the party. He is very much missed in his presence...
